How to Withdraw from Deriv: Methods, Fees and Processing Time

By BrokaBoy Research Team · Reviewed 14 October 2026 · Updated 14 October 2026 · 5 min read

To withdraw from Deriv, transfer funds from your trading account to your Deriv Wallet (instant), then withdraw from the Wallet to a card, e-wallet, mobile money, crypto or a P2P buyer. Deriv lists e-wallets and most mobile money as instant and cards at one working day, and says it does not charge deposit fees while the withdrawal method may charge its own.

Key takeaways

  • Withdrawals are two steps: trading account to Wallet, then Wallet to your payment method
  • You must complete identity verification before any withdrawal
  • Cards take 1 working day on Deriv's side; Neteller and most mobile money are listed as instant
  • Wallet transfers are capped at 10,000 USD per day, which matters for large withdrawals
  • On P2P, release funds only after the money is visibly in your own account

How a Deriv withdrawal works

Withdrawing from Deriv is a two-hop process, and most "my withdrawal is missing" problems come from forgetting the first hop:

  1. Trading account to Wallet. Profits sit inside your Deriv MT5, cTrader or options account. You first transfer them back to your Deriv Wallet. Deriv says this internal transfer is instant.
  2. Wallet to you. From the Wallet you request a withdrawal to a card, e-wallet, mobile-money number, crypto address or a Deriv P2P buyer.

Before step 2 works, your profile must be verified. Deriv's help centre is explicit that withdrawals are only available after identity confirmation, so finish the selfie, ID and address checks long before you need the money.

Withdrawal methods, limits and speed

The table below uses Deriv's public payment-methods page (checked October 2026). Times are Deriv's stated processing times for its side of the transaction; your bank or wallet provider can add more time. Which methods you see depends on your country.

MethodMin withdrawalMax withdrawalDeriv's stated time
Visa / Mastercard10 USD10,000 USD1 working day
Neteller10 USD10,000 USDInstant
M-Pesa5 USD1,000 USDInstant

Vodafone5 USD1,000 USD1 working day

CryptoShown in cashier per coinShown in cashierDepends on network confirmations

Notice the asymmetry on mobile money: MTN and Airtel accept deposits of only up to 150 USD, but you can withdraw up to 750 USD per transaction. That helps if your account has grown.

Card withdrawals deserve a footnote. "1 working day" is Deriv's processing time. The money then travels through the card network back to your bank, which commonly takes several more business days. Do not panic if it is not in your bank account the next morning.

Are there withdrawal fees?

Deriv's help centre says Wallet deposits are free and that for withdrawals the payment method you choose may charge a fee. Deriv does not publish a flat withdrawal fee of its own on the pages we checked. In practice:

  • Mobile-money operators may charge a cash-out or receiving fee.
  • Crypto withdrawals carry a network fee, which is higher on congested networks.
  • P2P rates are set by the buyer in their advert, so the effective exchange rate is your real "fee".

A quick way to compare: if you withdraw 100 USD and a P2P buyer offers a rate 2% worse than the bank rate, you lose 2 USD. If a mobile-money operator charges a flat fee equivalent to 0.80 USD, that method is cheaper for this amount. For larger amounts, a percentage spread grows while a flat fee does not.

Step by step: withdrawing from Deriv MT5

  1. Close or reduce the positions you want to take profit from. You can only transfer free margin, not money supporting open trades. See our note on free margin.
  2. In your Deriv dashboard, open Transfer and move the amount from the MT5 account to your Wallet. Transfers are capped at 10,000 USD per transfer and 10,000 USD cumulatively per day, with up to 10 transfers a day.
  3. Open the Wallet and choose Withdraw.
  4. If Deriv asks you to confirm the request by email, use the link in that email; check your spam folder if it does not arrive.
  5. Choose the method and enter the amount. The cashier shows the live minimum and maximum.
  6. Track the request in the transaction history.

The daily transfer cap is the detail that catches larger accounts. If you want to withdraw 25,000 USD from MT5, you cannot move it all to the Wallet in a day: plan three days of transfers.

Why Deriv withdrawals get delayed

CauseWhat to do
Profile not verifiedComplete selfie, ID and address checks; address documents must be dated within the last 3 months
Funds still in MT5Transfer to the Wallet first
Open positions using the marginClose trades or withdraw less than your free margin
Name mismatch on the receiving accountThe account you withdraw to should be in your own name
Wrong crypto networkAlways match the network shown in the cashier; a wrong network can mean permanent loss
Card network delayAllow several business days after Deriv's 1 working day processing

If a withdrawal is still stuck after the stated time, contact live chat or WhatsApp support from the official deriv.com site, and keep the transaction reference. If you cannot resolve it, your entity's complaints process applies: email the complaints team, wait up to 15 business days for a final response, and, if your entity uses it, escalate to the Financial Commission. Our guide on what to do when a broker will not let you withdraw walks through that.

Withdrawing via Deriv P2P

P2P is often the fastest way to get local currency in countries where card withdrawals are slow. You sell your Deriv balance to a verified buyer who pays you in local currency, while Deriv holds your funds in escrow until you confirm the payment arrived. The single most important rule: only release funds after you see the money in your own bank or mobile wallet, never on the strength of an SMS or a screenshot. Deriv's help centre specifically warns about fake SMS payment alerts and fake proof of payment. Our Deriv P2P guide covers the full process.

What we would do

Make a small test withdrawal (for example 10 USD) after your first deposit, using the method you intend to use long-term. It confirms your verification is complete and shows you the real arrival time before anything important depends on it. Frequently asked questions

How long does a Deriv withdrawal take?

It depends on the method. Deriv's payment-methods table lists Neteller, M-Pesa, MTN, Airtel and similar mobile money as instant, Visa and Mastercard as one working day, and Deriv P2P as up to one hour. Your bank or card network may add several business days after Deriv has processed the request.

Does Deriv charge withdrawal fees?

Deriv's help centre says the payment method you choose may charge a fee, and it does not list a flat Deriv withdrawal fee. Expect operator fees on mobile money, network fees on crypto, and an exchange-rate margin on P2P. Compare the total cost for your amount before choosing a method.

Why can't I withdraw from my Deriv MT5 account directly?

Deriv routes all withdrawals through the Deriv Wallet. You first transfer money from MT5 to the Wallet, which Deriv says is instant, and then withdraw from the Wallet. You can only transfer free margin, so close or reduce open positions if the amount you want is supporting trades.

What is the minimum withdrawal on Deriv?

It varies by method. In Deriv's payment-methods table, mobile-money options such as M-Pesa, MTN and Airtel start at 5 USD, while Visa, Mastercard and Neteller start at 10 USD. The cashier shows the live minimum for your chosen method and currency when you request the withdrawal.

Can I withdraw more than 10,000 USD a day from Deriv?

Transfers between your trading accounts and the Wallet are limited to 10,000 USD per transfer and 10,000 USD cumulatively per day, and many methods have lower per-transaction caps. For larger sums, plan withdrawals over several days, and ask support whether a bank or crypto option suits the amount.

Yes, Deriv is a legitimate broker operating since 1999, with licensed entities in Labuan, the BVI, Vanuatu, Mauritius and the Cayman Islands as of October 2026. The catch is that all of these are offshore or mid-tier regulators, so you get less protection than with an FCA, EU or ASIC-regulated broker.
