To withdraw from HFM, log in to the Client Area, choose Fund Withdrawal, pick a method you have deposited with, and submit the amount. HFM says it processes withdrawals 24/7 and charges no withdrawal fee. Alternative methods arrive instantly or within 24 hours, while cards and bank transfers take 2 to 10 business days because of the banks involved.

Key takeaways

  • Withdraw from the Client Area: Fund Withdrawal, choose method, enter amount
  • HFM charges no withdrawal fee; banks and intermediaries may
  • Alternative methods: instant to 24 hours; cards and bank wires: 2–10 business days
  • Minimums: $5 card, $5–$10 alternative methods, $100 bank transfer
  • Card withdrawals go back to the same card through the same processor

How to withdraw from HFM, step by step

  1. Close or reduce open trades if needed. You can only withdraw free margin. Money holding open positions isn't available. Withdrawing too close to your used margin can also push your margin level towards a stop-out.
  2. Log in to the Client Area at my.hfm.com, not the MT4/MT5 terminal. Withdrawals can't be requested from inside MetaTrader.
  3. Select "Fund Withdrawal". This is the wording HFM uses on its withdrawal page.
  4. Choose the account and method. Use a method you've already deposited with. For cards, it must be the same card.
  5. Enter the amount, check any fees your own provider charges, and submit.
  6. Watch your email. HFM's back office may ask for a document or confirmation before releasing the money.

HFM says withdrawals are processed 24/7, so a request placed on a Saturday isn't left until Monday at HFM's end. Banks and card networks keep their own hours, though.

*HFM says it doesn't charge for bank wires, but the sending, correspondent and receiving banks can each take a fee.

HFM's public page groups e-wallets and local payment options as "alternative" methods without naming them. Which methods you see depends on your country and on the methods you've deposited with. Our HFM deposit methods guide covers the funding side.

Why cards and bank wires are slower

A card withdrawal is usually a refund. HFM sends it the same day or the next, but your card issuer then has to post the credit. Banks often take several business days, especially across borders. That's why HFM quotes 2–10 business days even though its own processing runs around the clock.

A bank wire may pass through one or more correspondent banks, and each can add a day and a fee. On a $100 wire, a $15–$25 bank charge (a typical range, not an HFM figure) takes 15–25% of the money. For small amounts, a fast alternative method is usually cheaper.

Card withdrawals and profits

HFM's card rule has two parts:

  • Withdrawals go back to the same card and through the same payment processor used for the deposit.
  • Where Visa Direct or Mastercard MoneySend is supported, the withdrawal can be larger than what you deposited. That means profits can go back to the card too.

Worked example. You deposit $200 by Visa and grow the account to $500. If your card supports Visa Direct, you can request the full $500 to that card. If it doesn't, expect HFM to return the $200 to the card and ask you to take the remaining $300 by another method in your name, such as a bank transfer. At $300 that's above the $100 wire minimum. Ask support if you're unsure which applies before you submit.

What delays an HFM withdrawal

CauseHow to fix it
Identity or address not verifiedUpload documents in the Client Area before you request
Receiving account in someone else's nameUse an account or wallet in your own name
Method you never deposited withWithdraw to the original method first
Not enough free marginClose positions or withdraw less
Active bonusRead the bonus terms; part of the bonus is removed on withdrawal
Weekends and bank holidaysAllow extra days for cards and wires

If a request has been pending far longer than HFM's stated window, contact the Back Office team by email with your account number and request date. Keep it in writing. If the issue still isn't resolved, our guide on what to do when a broker won't let you withdraw explains how complaints and escalation work. Which body hears your complaint depends on your HFM entity: see is HFM legit.

A realistic timeline

Here's how a card withdrawal requested on a Thursday evening might go:

DayWhat happens
ThursdayYou submit the request in the Client Area
Thursday–FridayHFM processes it (its back office works 24/7)
Friday–following WednesdayThe card network and your bank post the refund
Up to two weeks laterWorst case within HFM's 2–10 business day window

Weekends and public holidays don't count as business days, so a request made just before a long weekend can feel slow even when nothing is wrong. Only chase it once the 10-business-day window has passed. With an instant alternative method, the same request could arrive within minutes of HFM approving it.

Special cases

Bonus accounts. Under HFM's top-up bonus terms for HF Markets (SV) Ltd, the bonus credit can't be withdrawn, but profits made with it can. Any withdrawal removes the bonus in proportion. For example, withdrawing half your own deposit removes about half the bonus. More in our HFM bonus guide.

Copy trading accounts. If you unfollow a strategy provider, HFM closes the copied trades. If the provider closes their account, your funds move to your HFM wallet (myWallet). From there you can withdraw or move the money to another account. Check our HFM copy trading guide.

Multiple accounts. Transferring between your own HFM accounts first and then withdrawing from one account keeps the paperwork simpler.

Fastest way to get paid: our ranking

  1. An instant alternative method you've already deposited with (where available in your country).
  2. A 24-hour alternative method.
  3. Card with Visa Direct/MoneySend support. No fee, but allow up to two working weeks.
  4. Bank transfer. Best for large sums where a flat bank fee matters less, and slowest overall.

Before your first real withdrawal

Do a small test withdrawal soon after your first deposit. It shows how long your method actually takes, flags any verification gaps while the amount is small, and gives you confidence before you fund the account further. The general rules on source-of-funds and refunds are in our deposits and withdrawals explainer.

CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Full risk disclosure.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an HFM withdrawal take?

HFM lists alternative methods as instant or up to 24 hours, and card and bank transfer withdrawals as 2 to 10 business days, depending on the correspondent bank. HFM processes requests 24/7, so most of the wait for cards and wires happens at the banks. Unverified accounts, name mismatches or open bonus conditions can add delays.

Does HFM charge withdrawal fees?

HFM says it does not charge fees for withdrawals, including bank wires. Your bank, the correspondent bank in the middle of an international wire, or your e-wallet provider may still deduct their own charges or apply a currency conversion margin. Those fees are outside HFM, so check them with your provider.

What is the minimum withdrawal at HFM?

HFM's withdrawal table lists $5 for cards, $10 and $5 for its two groups of alternative methods, and $100 for bank transfers. If your balance is below a method's minimum, use a method with a lower floor that you have already deposited with, or contact HFM's back office for options.

Can I withdraw profits to my card at HFM?

HFM says card withdrawals go to the same card and through the same processor you used to deposit. Where Visa Direct or Mastercard MoneySend is supported, the withdrawal can be larger than your original deposit, so profits can go back to the card. If your card or country does not support this, HFM will ask you to use another method for the profit.

Why is my HFM withdrawal pending?

Common reasons are incomplete verification, a request to a method you never deposited with, a name on the receiving account that differs from your HFM profile, open positions using the margin you want to withdraw, or a weekend or bank holiday holding up a card or wire. Check your email and the Client Area for a request for documents first.

Does withdrawing affect an HFM bonus?

Yes, under HFM's top-up bonus terms, withdrawing funds removes a proportional part of the bonus credit, and the bonus itself can never be withdrawn. Profits made with the bonus can be withdrawn. If you are using a bonus, read the terms in your Client Area before requesting a withdrawal so you know what will be removed.
