Why the payment method can change your real minimum
The account minimum is only half the picture. Each funding route has its own limits, which JustMarkets lists on the deposit page inside your Personal Area. A few patterns to expect:
Local methods and e-wallets usually sit at or near the $10 account minimum.
Crypto deposits often carry a higher floor because of network costs. Third-party reviews report $15–30 depending on the coin; check the deposit screen.
Bank wire transfers are slow (JustMarkets quotes 1–6 banking days) and your own bank's fee can make a $10 wire pointless.
Payment agents are available in some countries and can take up to one business day.
JustMarkets says it does not charge deposit fees itself, but the payment provider or your bank may. A $2 card or transfer fee on a $10 deposit is a 20% haircut before you place a trade. See JustMarkets deposit methods for the full list by region.
What $10 actually lets you do
A $10 deposit is real money, but it is tiny in trading terms. Here's what it means in practice, using EUR/USD at an assumed price of 1.0800.
On a Standard account (balance $10):
The smallest trade is 0.01 lot = 1,000 euros, worth about $1,080.
A 20-pip stop-loss risks about $2, which is 20% of your account on a single trade.
On a Standard Cent account (balance 1,000 US cents):
Your $10 shows as 1,000 USC. JustMarkets' cent lots are scaled down: the max of 1,000 cent lots matches 10 standard lots, so one cent lot corresponds to 0.01 standard lot.
The smallest trade, 0.01 cent lot, is worth about 0.1 cent per pip on EUR/USD (an estimate from that scaling; confirm in the contract specification).
The same 20-pip stop risks about 2 cents, or 0.2% of the account.
That difference is the whole point of the cent account. With $10 on a Standard account, even the minimum lot size forces you to risk far more than the 1–2% most risk guides recommend. On a cent account you can size trades properly. Use our position size calculator to check any trade.

How much should you deposit? Our practical ranges

Log in to the Personal Area and confirm your email (JustMarkets requires this before deposits).
Go to Funds → Deposit and choose the trading account to fund.
Pick a payment method and check its minimum, maximum and processing time on screen.
Enter the amount. If a currency conversion applies, the "To be deposited" field shows what will leave your payment account.
Confirm on the payment provider's page.
Before full verification, JustMarkets limits total deposits to $2,000. After your identity document is approved the limit rises to $10,000, and full functionality needs both identity and proof of residence. You also have 30 days after your first deposit to complete verification, after which new positions and deposits are blocked until you do.
Mistakes we see with small deposits
Depositing from someone else's card or wallet. JustMarkets does not accept third-party payments, and the money will be returned to the original source.
Choosing Pro or Raw because the spreads look tighter. At $200 minimum, a Raw account's $6 round-turn commission per lot is irrelevant only if you trade small. Compare total cost, not headline spreads. See JustMarkets spreads and fees.
Maxing out leverage on $10. High leverage lets you open positions that one bad move can wipe out. Stop-out at JustMarkets is 20% margin level.
Forgetting the same-method rule. Withdrawals go back to the deposit method up to the amount deposited, so pick a method that also works well for withdrawals.
If you live in the EU or EEA, you'll be onboarded by JustMarkets Ltd (CySEC licence 401/21). Its website lists a €100 minimum, ESMA leverage caps (for example 1:30 on EUR/USD and 1:20 on gold) and states that 69.19% of retail CFD accounts lose money with that entity. Account options there are narrower than on the global site, and the $10 Standard Cent account described above is a global-entity product.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Full risk disclosure.
Bottom line
JustMarkets is one of the cheapest brokers to start with: $10 opens a Standard or Standard Cent account, and $200 unlocks Pro and Raw Spread. For a first live test, we'd use the cent account and a small amount you can afford to lose, then try a withdrawal before adding more. Check the method limits in the Personal Area. They can be higher than the account minimum in some countries.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum deposit for JustMarkets?
On the global JustMarkets site, the minimum deposit is $10 for the Standard Cent and Standard accounts and $200 for the Pro and Raw Spread accounts. EU and EEA residents served by the CySEC-regulated JustMarkets Ltd see a minimum of €100 or the equivalent. Some payment methods have their own minimum, so check the deposit screen.
Can I start JustMarkets with $5?
Not on a trading account. The lowest account minimum JustMarkets publishes is $10, for Standard Cent and Standard. Its Help Center notes that some payment methods require at least $5 to $10 or more, but the account minimum still applies. Starting with $10 on a cent account is the cheapest realistic option.
Does JustMarkets charge deposit fees?
JustMarkets states it does not charge fees on deposits or withdrawals. Your bank, card issuer, e-wallet or crypto network may still charge its own fee, and currency conversion can cost extra if your payment currency differs from the account currency. On very small deposits these third-party costs can be a large percentage.
Is $10 enough to trade forex on JustMarkets?
It is enough to open a Standard Cent account and practise with real execution, but not enough to trade standard lots with sensible risk. On a $10 Standard account, a 0.01 lot EUR/USD trade with a 20-pip stop risks about $2, which is 20% of the balance. A cent account lets you risk a fraction of that.
Do I need to verify my account before depositing?
You need to confirm your email first. After that you can deposit up to $2,000 in total before full verification. Uploading an approved identity document raises the limit to $10,000, and full verification with proof of residence removes the restriction. You must complete verification within 30 days of your first deposit.
